Delaunay triangulation arcgis 10
Jul 03, · I am trying to follow IUCN guidelines for species range mapping and I cannot find how to create a delaunay triangulation in ArcMap I have found the tool to create "Minimum Bounding Geometry" using a convex hull, but that does not use Delaunay area907.infos: 5. If the Delaunay criterion is satisfied everywhere on the TIN, the minimum interior angle of all triangles is maximized. The result is that long, thin triangles are avoided as much as possible. At ArcGIS 10, a constrained Delaunay triangulation has been introduced for TIN generation. The spatial reference of the output TIN should be set to a projected coordinate system. Geographic coordinate systems are not recommended because Delaunay triangulation cannot be guaranteed when the XY coordinates are expressed in angular units, which could have an adverse impact on the accuracy of distance-based calculations, such as slope, volume, and line of sight.
